Whilst chatting with the Minister today it came to me the memory of Mum and Dad's Balloon flight, that Dad tells me they won in a Safeway raffle, when mum worked there.
Since knowing the story I always ask people that have had balloon flight how the landing was...here's why.

Mum really enjoyed it, and it was a lovely late afternoon if I remember rightly, and we travelled along in the car to follow the balloon and see how they got on. We saw it start to lower and they went out of sight into a field. We parked up as close as possible. When they finally emerged, quite a bit later from the field. Mum was chuckling to herself. Basically when they landed as with a lot of flights on landing the basket turned on its side, which can make for some difficults exits of the basket. As Mum climbed out, so she put her hand right into a cow pat!

Always makes me chuckle thinking about it. X
